I’ve just learned about you. Is it too late to add this to your calendar of upcoming events? The Georgia Public Library hosts a monthly board game event on the first Saturday of the month from 10-3.

Join us on Saturday, May 2 from 10-3 for a day of board gaming. Games of strategy such as Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Castle Panic, King of Tokyo, Puerto Rico, Tsuro, Zombie Dice and many more are available to play. You may bring a game too. Stay and play a game or stay all day.

I’d suggest as a fellow geek that an “upcoming events” page needs to get regular maintenance, but this one surely does not. When I first got here I saw “near future” and a listing for April, which is 6 months from now, so doesn’t strike me as “near”. Since you didn’t put the year on any of these, it’s hard to tell how badly out of date the listings are. But, looking up the only event that seemed unique, it appears that the “near future” is six months in the past. And apparently “to come” means “never to be supplied”.
