Your Vermont Bookstores

With Borders slowly going under and its future in question, there’ll no doubt be a number of obituaries written for the regular bookshop around the world. We don’t like that, and we don’t think that the traditional bookstore is going anywhere – this is a challenge that will be met, and while some stores might vanish, others will succeed.

With that in mind, we were wondering something: how many bookstores are actually in Vermont? We counted just under a hundred (that we could find), ranging from rare book dealers to the smaller local bookstore to the larger chain stores. There’s a lot of options when it comes to buying books in the state: here’s who we found:
